Position Overview: As a Vendor Management Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our network of third-party legal vendors. Your responsibilities include fostering relationships with vendors, ensuring compliance, and overseeing their company portfolios. Upholding company policies, US state and federal laws, and regulations in all operations is fundamental. The position offers a competitive pay range of $24.00 – $26.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess a substantial volume of documentation for vendor evaluations, ensuring alignment with regulatory compliance and internal policies.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new legal vendors in adherence to company guidelines. Continuously monitor compliance by evaluating vendor policies, procedures, and required documentation.
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendors, maintaining ongoing communication through various channels, providing updates, and following up on compliance requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date records in the internal system upon document receipt.
- Oversee ongoing vendor reviews and manage annual contract obligations.
- Research and gather data on potential new service providers for consideration in the onboarding process.
- Monitor and track necessary documents from third-party vendors to guarantee compliance, initiating contact when required.
- Timely escalation of unresolved issues to the leadership team.
- Responsible for the oversight of assigned legal vendor pools, promptly escalating identified risks, material business changes, or privacy issues.
- Process invoices for marketing and mortgage lending vendors as necessary.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience; some college education preferred.
- One or more years of experience in mortgage servicing, auditing, finance, compliance, or vendor management.
- Familiarity with Loan Origination and Loan Servicing Systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, and Visio.
