Job Summary: We are currently in search of a dedicated and reliable Live-In Household Support Specialist to become an integral part of our household. This role primarily involves providing childcare, assisting with educational activities, and maintaining a clean, organized living environment. The ideal candidate must be trustworthy, responsible, and adept at multitasking to ensure the seamless execution of daily household operations.
Responsibilities:
Childcare:
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for the children in the household.
- Monitor and ensure the well-being, safety, and hygiene of the children.
- Engage in age-appropriate activities and foster a positive play environment.
Educational Support:
- Assist children with homework and ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Create a conducive learning atmosphere to enhance educational development.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in educational and extracurricular activities.
Housekeeping:
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized living space.
- Regularly sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust various areas of the house.
- Manage laundry tasks, including washing, ironing, and organizing clothes.
Meal Preparation:
- Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals for the family and children.
- Consider dietary preferences and restrictions while planning meals.
Organization and Time Management:
- Efficiently manage time to balance childcare, educational support, and housekeeping tasks.
- Plan and execute daily schedules to meet the household’s needs.
Communication:
- Maintain open and clear communication with the family regarding children’s activities, progress, and concerns.
- Promptly report any issues or emergencies to the employers.
Flexibility:
- Adapt to changes in the household routine and be flexible in addressing unexpected situations.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends if required.
Trustworthiness and Confidentiality:
- Handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality.
- Build trust with the family through honesty, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in childcare and housekeeping.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Good communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in the well-being of children.
- Basic cooking skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Physical stamina for daily household tasks.
